Mom is home and resting comfortably. The surgery only took about 40 minutes and the doctor was pleased with the outcome. He had to put a silicone patch(mesh) in to repair the hernia, however, this is a better option in the long run for mom. She was able to come home just 2 hours after surgery which is wonderful! This will significantly cut down on her chances of getting a staph infection. She has been up and walking around and has had some chicken noodle soup. Thanks for all of your positive thoughts!
